Eyelash extensions are the new natural eye. Everyone in Hollywood talks about these eyelashes and everyone wants them. With the right application you can not even say it's not your eyelashes!
How they work:
A single hair, usually synthetic, is bound with a glue adhesive to your natural eyelash. One shot at a time. This is so natural and usually black, they give you your eyelashes.
You need less makeup:
Eyelashes are so natural and usually black, they darken your own eyelash line. Curl your eyelashes and thicken the width of each eyelash to which they are glued. The need for mascara and a curling iron is eliminated! Have you ever thought it was possible?
No damage to your eyelashes:
With a great application, you might have to cut your eyelashes (yes, I said trim)! The extensions bind around your own eyelashes, effectively protecting them from wear, allowing your eyelashes to keep growing. As the eyelashes grow, even the extensions. Our eyelashes have a 100-day life cycle. When one falls out, another grows in place. This is why it is important to go to a certified artist, so the eyelashes are positioned correctly (on short-medium-length eyelashes for a longer life), preventing damage to natural eyelashes.
Checklist before booking your appointment: Make sure your technician is a certified eyelash artist (ask to see a certification). Check if there is any smell of glue adhesive. Some are so strong that the fumes will irritate the eyes causing discomfort during service. Suggest a consultation to meet the artist. Ask to see before and after photos of your work and make a patch test for the sensitivity of the glue (it should be 24 hours). It is easier to know if you are allergic to glue before having a 2-hour service.
How much they cost:
Treatments range from $ 250 to $ 450 for a complete set of eyelashes. A complete set is about 30-50 lashes on each eye, varying on the artist. The first application will last between 1.5 and 2 hours. They last up to 2 months … but better if you have regular touch ups every 2-3 weeks. The minimum retouch should be at least eleven a month. You can expect to pay between $ 50 and $ 100 for every retouch and the appointment is usually 1 hour.
Correct Home Care and TLC:
Within the first 24 hours of service, water should not directly touch the lashes. The glue takes approximately 24-48 hours to be completely adjusted. No swimming or steam within the first 2 days. Always avoid make-up removers with oil or alcohol anywhere around the eyelash line. Also avoid eye creams near the top cover. Do not rub your eyes, tap or tampon your eyes gently. No permanent dye or eyelashes with extensions on. The use of an eyelash curler could break the lashes in order to jump
Remember, the more you worry about the extensions, the longer they will last!
